The barn owl in watercolour on Arches paper.

I remember as a child watching Don Conroy on rte paint the barn owl and I remember attempting my own version. I haven't painted an owl since then but I felt he definitely needs including in my Irish wildlife collection of watercolours.

Birdwatch Ireland continue to monitor the Barn Owl as it is a protected species and encourage any sightings to be reported on their page.

You might enjoy watching this short video of me painting the Barn Owl in my studio.
